Lemonade is a Lot Healthier Than You Think

DOC: Hey Al. What’s the most refreshing beverage to consume during the summertime?

AL: Long Island Tea?

DOC: Well, Lemonade has my vote. I know you are already wondering about the nutritional impact of the sweeteners that are generally added to lemonade. It is true that sweeteners should be limited in one’s diet; however, there is a phytonutrient called limonene, found in lemons and other citrus fruits, that may somewhat offset the negative impact of sweeteners added to lemonade.
