Blackboard Assessment Workshop on July 20

Sign up now for BLACKBOARD: ASSESSMENT WORKSHOP on 7/20/2006!

The Office of Distance Education is offering our Blackboard Level IV - Assessment workshop for faculty, staff, and administrators at JSU. This workshop is intended to provide you with additional skills in the Blackboard e-learning software for your online, supplemental, or workshop course, and is intended for individuals who have already completed the Introductory or its equivalent.

Topics for this workshop include:
  • Course Statistics

  • Tests (construction, options and deployment)

  • Question Pools

  • Grade Book Management (entry and modification)

  • Review Status (student tracking) and Survey manager
There is no fee for this workshop, and it is open to faculty, staff, and administrators who may be interested in using the Blackboard platform or who need a refresher with any of the topics described above.

The workshop will be held on Thursday, July 20th, 2006 from 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. Further information about this workshop will be provided upon registration. To register for this workshop, send an email with a message to "Enroll in Bb Level IV Workshop" to Mark Camp (mcamp@jsu.edu). Please submit your request no later than Wednesday, July 19th, 2006 at noon.

There are now 4 levels of workshops: Level I - Basic Content & Navigation, Level II - Advanced Content, Level III - Communication & Student Management Tools, and Level IV - Assessment. The new structure reflects our efforts to better serve our faculty and staff.
