Sign up now for BLACKBOARD: COMMUNICATION & STUDENT MANAGEMENT TOOLS WORKSHOP on 7/13/2006!

The Office of Distance Education is offering our Blackboard Level IV - COMMUNICATION & STUDENT MANAGEMENT TOOLS workshop for faculty, staff, and administrators at JSU. This workshop is intended to provide you with additional skills in the Blackboard e-learning software for your online, supplemental, or workshop course, and is intended for individuals who have already completed the Introductory or its equivalent.

Topics for this workshop include:

• Asynchronous communication (Email, Discussion Board)
  
  
• Discussion Board (Sorting, Filtering, Archiving, and Grading)
  
  
• Synchronous communication tools (Virtual Classroom & Chat)
  
  
• Groups (includes managing multiple course sections)

There is no fee for this workshop, and it is open to faculty, staff, and administrators who may be interested in using the Blackboard platform or who need a refresher with any of the topics described above.

The workshop will be held on Thursday, July 13th, 2006 from 1:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. Further information about this workshop will be provided upon registration. To register for this workshop, send an email with a message to "Enroll in Bb Level III Workshop" to Mark Camp (mcamp@jsu.edu). Please submit your request no later than Wednesday, July 12th, 2006 at noon.
