Almost Tame

Over the course of a few days, this friendly hummer became so tame that it fed from a hand-held feeder and perched on a rock close enough for Mike VanDeWalker to get this unusual close-up. The encounter happened in the Oregon Cascades this week at a primitive camp site in an area about 75 miles from Eugene, Oreg.
