Dr. Roger Sauterer, JSU biology professor, captured these sunrise shots at Sanibel Island, Fla. The bird (below) was photographed flying past the rising sun over Fort Myers beach, some five miles away (captured in a zoom shot). Dr. Sauterer says these were taken with his new four MP Fuji digital camera, which has a 10x zoom, though he is still not quite ready to retire his SLR.
