SBA Loan Clinic Workshop

$5,000 to $50,000 SBA Loans
No Collateral Required

The Small Business Administration in conjunction with the Blount County-Oneonta Chamber of Commerce, Jacksonville State University Small Business Development Center, Jacksonville State Center for Economic Development, and the Alabama Small Business Institute for Commerce are hosting a one-day loan clinic at the Gym meeting rooms in the old Wal-Mart Building, 27550 State Highway 75 (across from Oneonta High school) on December 15th, 2005. Start-up and existing business owners will be able to apply for SBA loans.

The loans are unsecured (require no collateral). Start-up and existing small businesses can apply for unsecured small business loans up to $50,000. Using the Community Express program, start-up and existing business applicants can apply for unsecured loans up to $50,000. This program requires the clients to receive business counseling from a technical assistance provider (TAP) before approved loans are disbursed. The counseling is free.

The Jacksonville State University Small Business Development Center will have representatives available to schedule counseling and to assist with the application process.

“I’m very excited about these new programs and the participation of our lending partners and resource partners.” says Michael Ricks, Alabama SBA Director. “We now can offer applicants tools that can provide access to capital. These new products and technology provide these services to the citizens of Alabama in a timelier manner.”

The event will be held Thursday, December 15th from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. Group presentations of the SBA programs will be made at 10:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 pm.
