Leslie Gober Joins JSU News Bureau

Ms. Leslie Gober of Muscle Shoals has joined the Jacksonville State University News Bureau as a student staff writer. Gober writes press releases and feature stories for the university and its alumni magazine. 

Gober is a junior majoring in communication with a concentration in public relations and is pursuing a minor in music. She transferred to JSU from Northwest Shoals Community College.

Gober is also active in several campus organizations, including the A Cappella Choir, Gospel Choir, Opera Scenes Workshop, Public Relations Organization, and the College Republicans.

Gober has also served on the Homecoming Committee and the Organizational Council as well as played the role of Ruth Bliss in the JSU drama department's recent production of "The Mystery of Edwin Drood."

As an SGA Senator in 2004, Gober also served on the Student Activities Council.

Gober is also a Choral Scholar and a soloist for First Presbyterian Church in Anniston.
