Memorial Service for VPABA's Wife Held Oct. 30

Kathryn Pierce Carlson, age 46, died suddenly on October 28,2005. She was the loving mother of Pierce and Trey Carlson and wife of Clint Carlson. Her family and caring for others were her life. She spent many years caring for others, as Nursing was her passion not just her profession.

She is survived by: her husband and children, Clint, Pierce, and Trey Carlson; her parents, James and Martha Pierce; sister and brother-in-law, Valorie and Frank Ketchum; brother and sister-in-law and newphews, Loren, Machelle, Landon, and Adam Pierce; mother- and father-in-law, Betty and George Carlson; sister-in-law and husband, Karen and Lanny Burnett; sister-in-law, husband and niece, Valorie and Gene Wilson, and Jessical Wilson; and many other friends and family who loved her dearly.

A memorial service was held Sunday afternoon, October 30 at the Chapel of Cannon-Cleveland Funeral Directors with Rev. John W. Moody, Sr. officiating.

Those who wish may make donations in memory of Mrs. Carlson to the JSU Foundation and designate the gift to the College of Nursing. Mrs. Carlson was a student in Nursing. See related article.
