Advanced Blackboard Training Workshop for JSU Faculty, Staff, and Administrators Oct. 27

The Office of Distance Education is offering an Advanced Blackboard Training Workshop for JSU faculty, staff, and administrators on Thursday, October 27, 2005 from 1:00 p.m. - 4:30 pm. This is the final workshop (Level III) in the series of training workshops available on the Blackboard Course Management System.

Topics of this workshop include:
  • Gaining expertise in synchronous interaction methods in Blackboard, such as Virtual Chat and Lightweight Chat through utilization of these tools during the workshop

  • Creating & deploying online Quizzes and Surveys for students to take anywhere, anytime; applying Security Settings to exams to protect your exams from cheating

  • Understanding online testing, proctoring, and evaluation policies and tips

  • Creating Groups and managing student communication tools within groups
There is no fee for this workshop, and it is open to faculty, staff, and administrators who have experience with the Blackboard platform through either teaching and/or attendance at previous Blackboard training workshops.

Further information about this workshop will be provided upon registration. To register for this workshop, reply to this email (srestaur@jsu.edu) with a message to "Enroll in Blackboard Advanced Workshop".
