Law Enforcement Academy Graduates 45 New Police Officers

The 46 members of the 135th graduating class of the Northeast Alabama Law Enforcement Academy took the oath of office Thursday. Police departments screen potential cadets, hire them and send them through basic training at a cost of $4,000 to $6,000 each. The Anniston Police Department is short 18 employees, so the five Anniston cadets who graduated will be especially welcome when they start work next week. See story at The Anniston Star's website: www.annistonstar.com.
