Parking Permits on Sale Now

Faculty, staff, and students' parking permits for the 2005-2006 school year are on sale now. Parking permits are available online at police.jsu.edu. Anyone wishing to apply for a handicap permit must register online for their blue or red permit prior to applying for their JSU handicap permit at UPD. Faculty, staff, and students should review the updated University Parking Rules and Regulations prior to registration at police.jsu.edu/traffic.

Student Procedures - Students have three (3) options of purchasing their parking permits. Students must register for their parking permit through the Student Access System (SAS). Students can have their student account charged, order by credit card, or register their State Issued Jacksonville State University Tag (J-TAG). Students must pick up their permits at the University Police Department seventy-two (72) hours after order submission online. Students must present their confirmation page from the online process and a copy of their vehicle registration. Failure to present these documents will delay processing the student's parking permit.

Faculty & Staff Procedures - Faculty and staff must register their vehicle through the Faculty & Staff Access System (FAS). Faculty and Staff have three (3) options for ordering parking permits. They may use a credit card, authorize a one time payroll deduction, or register their State Issued Jacksonville State University Tag (J-TAG). Faculty and staff can register only one (1) vehicle per permit. Faculty and staff will be allowed to move their hang tag permit between vehicles. Faculty and staff permits will be delivered through campus mail. Faculty and staff who do not have access to a computer should take time to visit one of the computer labs on campus to insure that their vehicle registration is current.

The University Police will begin enforcing parking rules and regulations on Thursday, September 8. Students, be sure to display your parking permit on the passenger side window at the bottom of the windshield. Failure to do this could result in a citation for Improper Display.

If you need assistance registering for your permit at police.jsu.edu, please contact UPD at 256-782-5050. If you have questions about JSU Parking Rules & Regulations, please visit the University Police Department online at police.jsu.edu.
