Mike VanDeWalker of Springfield, Oreg., writes, Centennial Bridge is a pedestrian bridge in downtown Cottage Grove at the corner of Main Street and River Road. It was built in 1987 for their Centennial Celebration with recycled timbers that were salvaged when the Burmbaugh Bridge and the Meadows Bridge were dismantled. Timbers were taken back to the mill and planed down to the proper size. It is a 3/8 - inch scale of the Chambers RR Bridge. It is a Howe type bridge built in 1987 and is 84 feet long. In use today as a pedestrian bridge.
