Dr. Glenn Roswal Recognized by Camp ASCCA

3 November 2004 -- Each year an individual who has devoted a lifetime of service to Camp ASCCA is recognized with the Hoyt Webb Award. Named in honor of the founder of Camp ASCCA, the Hoyt Webb Award is the camp's most prestigious award and each year is bestowed upon one of its most dedicated supporters. Dr Glenn Roswal, professor in the Department of Health, Physical Education, and Recreation at Jacksonville State University, is Camp ASCCA’s 2004 Hoyt Webb Award recipient.

Dr Rosawl has been a great friend to Camp ASCCA over many years. As a volunteer, he has spent much time doing special events and more notably, bringing many students from his classes at JSU. The JSU students provide financial sponsorships, participate in hands-on construction projects, and serve as counselors for campers.

Dr Roswal also served as Chairman of the Board for Camp ASCCA during 1997-1998 and has never failed to offer his assistance and expertise as needed. Most recently, Dr. Roswal contributed to the new Roswal-Levy Accessible Climbing Tower. Hundreds of campers and groups enjoy this challenging activity each year. Because of his generosity and caring for the Camp ASCCA mission and helping provide wonderful and exciting opportunities for children and adults with disabilities on October 1, 2004 Camp ASCCA was pleased to honor Dr. Glenn Roswal with the Hoyt Webb Award.
