The performances of The Telephone and A Question of Taste take place at Stone Center on the following dates and times: Oct. 28 at 7:30 p.m., Oct. 29 at 8 p.m., Oct. 30 at 7:30 p.m., Oct. 31 at 2:30 p.m. Cost: $5 for students, $8 for adults. Opera aficionados may attend a dinner at 5:30 p.m. on Friday night, Oct. 29, at Classic on Noble, who is sponsoring the event. It will feature a discussion of both operas with plenty of good food, dessert and wine. The community is welcome to enjoy the dinner and performances for a combined cost of $45.

The Telephone is a comedic opera about a man's attempts to ask his girlfriend life's important question. He realizes his best opportunity will be to call her on the telephone, since that is her favorite mode of communication.

A Question of Taste is about a character who wages his daughter's hand in marriage. She, however, is already in love with another character. The outcome promises an interesting resolution.
