Welch to speak in Fort Payne Sept. 8

26 August 2004 — Rev. Bobby Welch, president of the Southern Baptist Convention and an alumnus of Jacksonville State University, will be at First Baptist Church of Fort Payne at 6 p.m. on 8 September as part of his tour to encourage Baptists to reach a goal of baptizing one million people within the coming year. His bus tour will last 25 days. Welch said he also hopes to return to JSU’s homecoming game on November 6.
