Alumni to Share Secrets of Success; Public Invited

August 18, 2004 — Jacksonville State University’s placement office has scheduled several successful Alabamians to serve on a job advice panel scheduled for a public meeting from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Thursday 30 September in Room 101 Merrill Building.

Sponsored by JSU’s Department of Career Placement Services, the event is called Secrets for Success, and the panel will feature nine accomplished JSU graduates.

Students are encouraged to attend and ask questions about job searches, interviews, and any other employment-related concerns. The public is also invited.

We are flattered that these professionals would take time from their responsibilities to join us, coming all the way from Arizona to Washington, D.C.,” said Janet White, director of career placement services.

Expected panelists are: Wayne Hawkins, vice president of marketing for ALFA Insurance; Shane McGriff of Gazelle Consulting in Atlanta; Ted Propes of Consolidated Lending of Atlanta; Greg Beason, vice president of Honeywell Aerospace International of Phoenix, Arizona; Patty Hobbs, director of Internal Communications with the US Department of Education; Tim Grey, director of personnel and training with the US Army Aviation and Missile Command Redstone Arsenal; Andy Housch of Russell Corporation in Alexander City; Beth Rogers, wife of Congressman Mike Rogers of Anniston; and Monaleton Irby, program director of the Coosa Valley Youth Services in Anniston.
