Flint Knapping Workshop

August 17, 2004 — Come learn how the Native American peoples made rock tools. This workshop will focus on methods, safety, and cultural issues involved in flint-knapping. Beginners are especially encouraged although experts are welcome, too. Taught by Larry Beane and other talented "knappers", participants will take home the ability to make their own flint tools and the inspiration to continue this ancient art on their own.
