Alumna Emily Bonds Recognized in 'Top 40 Under 40'

4 August 2004 -- Jacksonville State University alumna Emily Bonds, class of 1987, was recognized in the Birmingham Business Journal publication 2004 Top 40 Under 40. Mrs. Bonds, who lives in Vestavia Hills, is a partner in the law firm of Walston Wells Anderson & Baines LLP.

She is a member of the Jacksonville State University Alumni Association's board of governors, the Alpha Xi Delta Building Corp., and Brookwood Baptist Church. She is an active member of her church and has an interest in mission work in Birmingham .

Mrs. Bonds, who holds a juris doctorate from the University of Alabama, says she got a taste of the field of law at age 14 by answering telephones at a law firm in Anniston .

Ms. Bonds is married to Bryan Bonds and has two children.
