Messiah to be Performed Nov. 16




The Jacksonville State University A Cappella Choir and Calhoun County Civic Chorale will present Handel's Messiah (Part One) on Sunday, November 16 at 4:00 p.m. in the Church of St. Michael and All Angels in Anniston.

The JSU A Cappella Choir and Calhoun County Civic Chorale will join forces to perform Part One of George Friedrich Handel's timeless classic oratorio, Messiah. They will be accompanied an orchestra consisting of JSU faculty members, students and members of the Alabama Symphony. The concert will be directed by Dr. Patricia Corbin, JSU Director of Choral Activities.

Tickets are on sale now and are $4 for adults and $2 for students in advance; $5 for adults and $3 for students at the door on concert day. Seating and parking will be limited, so advance purchases are recommended. For tickets, please contact the JSU Choral Department at (256) 782-5544.
