over National and State Capitals
Now Flying on JSU Campus








December 16, 2003 -- Jacksonville State University President Bill Meehan, second from right, receives the American flag flown over the U.S. Capitol and the Alabama flag flown over the state capitol from state senator Dale Marsh, second from left. The two flags were accepted by Pres. Meehan on behalf of the University Police Dept., which is now flying them on poles in front of Bibb Graves Hall, the administration building. Looking on are University Police Chief Terry Schneider, far right, and UPD Corporal Neil Fetner.

The American Flag that was donated by Senator Jeff Session was flown over the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C., on October 16, 2003. The flag was donated to the Jacksonville State University Police Department.

The Alabama Flag that was donated by Senator Del Marsh was flown over the Capitol in Montgomery on September 23, 2003. The flag was donated to the Jacksonville State University Police Department.
