Phi Alpha Theta, the national history honorary society, presents
its Inaugural Lecture Series on Tuesday, October 28. Dr. Russel
Lemmons will be speaking on his upcoming book, Ernst Thalmann:
Imprisoned, Murdered, Besmirched. Thalmann was the leader of the
German Communist Party in the years before Adolf Hitler came to power.
Imprisoned and murdered by the Nazis, he became an important hero in East
Germany during the Cold War.
