October 24, 2003 --
Take a driving/hiking tour of the Shoal Creek Ranger District and discover
unique areas that are rarely seen by the public.� Learn about the ecology
and geology of the national forest as the flora and fauna changes from the
bottomlands to the ridge tips.� The district archaeologist will also
highlight the colorful cultural heritage of the area.� Bring a lunch,
water, field guides, and a camera to explore the breathtaking scenery of autumn
in the forest.� Pre-registration is required.�
JSU's Little River Canyon Field School is now accepting reservations for
this program.� Those interested are encouraged to call 256-782-5697 for
