11 Finalists Chosen
for Homecoming Pageant

Eleven finalists were selected in Jacksonville State University's 2003 Homecoming Pageant, which was held on Thursday, October 9 in Leone Cole Auditorium.

JSU students will vote for the Homecoming Court on October 16. Campus polls will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on the third floor of Theron Montgomery Building. Students will select the top five women who will represent the Homecoming Court. Each student can vote for five of the finalists.

The 11 finalists are:

  • Cristina Almanza from Mexico. She is a junior majoring in graphic design and marketing . Cristina was sponsored by the International House Program.
  • Crystal Bonds from Marietta, Ga. She is a junior majoring in psychology. She was sponsored by Alpha Xi Delta.
  • Misty Cassell from Anniston. She is a senior majoring in communication. She was sponsored by Peer Counselors.
  • Natasha Cunningham from Huntsville. She is a graduate student majoring in counselor education with a concentration in community agency counseling.
  • Stephanie Deese from Carrollton, Ga. She is a senior majoring in communication. Stephanie was sponsored by Pi Kappa Phi.
  • Kelly Hamilton from Jemison, Alabama. She is a senior majoring in nursing. Kelly was sponsored by Zeta Tau Alpha.
  • Cambrey Jordan from Birmingham. She is a junior majoring in political science. Cambrey was sponsored by Zeta Tau Alpha.
  • Andrea Martin from Blountsville. She is a graduate student majoring in physical education. Her sponsor was the Department of Health, Physical Education and Recreation.
  • Katie Nelson from Jacksonville. She is a junior majoring in English and communication. She was sponsored by Zeta Tau Alpha.
  • LaShawna Shelton from Pisgah. She is a senior majoring in applied mathematics.
  • Nikki Taylor from Roanoke. She is a junior majoring in accounting. She was sponsored by Alpha Omicron Pi.
