Spirit Drum & Bugle Corps
Returns to JSU for Show


July 18, 2003 -- Spirit Drum & Bugle Corps of Jacksonville (Ala.) State University returns to campus for the Spirit of America Show on Thursday, July 24, 2003 at 7:00 p.m. (CST).

This year's competition features eight drum and bugle corps including The Cadets and The Crossman (Bergenfield, New Jersey); Colts (Dubuque, Iowa); Southwind (Lexington, Kentucky); Pioneer (Milwaukee, Wisconsin); Teal Sound (Jacksonville, Florida) and CorpsVets Senior Drum & Bugle Corps (Atlanta, Georgia).

JSU's Spirit summer tour began June 20th and will culminate August 4-9 in Orlando, Florida at the Drum Corps International World Championship competition. Spirit finished 10th in last year's World Championship and has had thirteen top-twelve finishes since they were formed in 1976.

Spirit Drum & Bugle Corps has been officially affiliated with Jacksonville State University for the past three years; however, their association with JSU goes back many years. The Corps members who are eligible are enrolled as JSU students for a special summer marathon course.

Tickets for the show are available by calling 256-782-5908. VIP Seating is $25.00, Reserved Seating is $15.00, and General Admission Seating is $10.00. A Group General Admission Rate of $8.00 is available for groups of twenty or more. Tickets will also be available at Paul Snow Stadium the evening of the show.
