JSU Cheerleader Scholarship Established in Memory of Matthew Morris |

November 11, 2002 -- A scholarship in the memory of the late Jacksonville
State University cheerleader Matthew Jeremy Morris is being established by
his family. The scholarship will be awarded to a returning cheerleader who demonstrates considerable improvement during the previous year of participation as a JSU Red Squad member. Matthew was in his second year of cheering at JSU and came into the program with no previous cheerleading experience. During the time that he cheered, squad leaders said he had shown tremendous potential and ability. Anyone interested in making a donation to the scholarship fund can send their contribution to the JSU Foundation, 700 Pelham Road North, Jacksonville, Alabama 36265.
