JSU Drama Department Presents
Neil Simon's RUMORS

JACKSONVILLE -- November 6, 2001 -- Jacksonville State University Department of Drama presents RUMORS by Neil Simon. The production will begin at 7:00 p.m. on November 15, 16, 17, and 19 at 2:00 p.m. on November 18.

The performance will be held at the Ernest Stone Performing Arts Center, which is located at the corner of Church and Eleventh. The cost of tickets is $6.00 for adults and $4.00 for students and military. Groups of 20 or more will receive a discount when requested, but it must be paid in advance.

RUMORS revolves around four couples who are joining the deputy New York City Mayor and his wife to celebrate their tenth wedding anniversary. The party never really gets started because the host has shot himself in the head and his wife is now missing. His lawyer, in an effort to protect his client, begins a cover-up. And, as most lies go, the story gets progressively more difficult to sustain as guests arrive and no one can remember who has been told what.

The play is full of slammimg doors as the couples get more and more crazed.

The cast includes: Clarissa Truss of Talladega as Chris Gorman; Casey Campbell of Prattville as Ken Gorman; Celesta Williams-Poole of Cedartown, Georgia as Claire Ganz; Clint Leroy of Stevenson as Lenny Ganz; Jameel Lewis of Huntsville as Ernie Cusack; Cameo Singleton of Montgomery as Cookie Cusack; Sir Arthur Edwards of Bessemer as Glen Cooper; Adrienne Perry of Birmingham as Cassie Cooper; Joe Fuselli of Jacksonville as Officer Welch; Attillah Brookshire of Jacksonville as Officer Pudney.
