President Meehan Issues Warning Pertaining to Anthrax Hoaxes |

JACKSONVILLE -- October 25, 2001 --
FBI lab tests reveal that the white, powdery substance planted recently
in the Houston Cole Library was not anthrax. However, President Bill
Meehan today again warned that anthrax hoaxes are a federal offense and
that JSU will fully prosecute anyone caught engaging in this criminal act.
Please be on the lookout for anyone who might be staging an anthrax hoax
in your building or vicinity and report suspicious activity immediately to
Campus Police at Ext. 6000.
