Renaissance Madrigal Dinner To Be Held on November 30 and December 1st

JACKSONVILLE -- October 8, 2001 -- Once again it is time to mark your calendar and plan to celebrate the Yuletide Season with the ninth annual Renaissance Madrigal Dinner at Jacksonville State University.

On Friday, November 30th, and Saturday, December 1st, at 7:00 p.m. in the Leone Cole Auditorium, "Merrie Olde England" will be brought to life. The entertainment will include music featuring the Jacksonville State University Chamber Singers and A cappella Choir as well as other "minstrels and sundry entertainment."

The enchanted evenings will begin with wassail followed by a seven-course feast. To secure a table at this magical festival, it is recommended to reserve a place as soon as possible. The cost of the celebration is $25 per person, which is a tax-deductible scholarship contribution to the JSU Choirs.

Guests will be able to enter at 6:15 p.m. and should be seated before the processional begins promptly at 7:00 p.m. Choral Patron and preferred seating will be available for fifty dollars per person. All payments must be received with the reservation.

Tables will be assigned as orders are received, so call in any group requests together. No tickets will be issued, but if written confirmation is desired, just enclose a self-addressed stamped envelope with the order.

Reservations are non-refundable, so patrons should be certain of all plans. Any and all orders must be received by noon, Tuesday, November 20.

Return all orders by mail, phone, or in person to: JSU Choirs/Dinner, 205A Mason Hall, Jacksonville State University, 700 Pelham Road North, Jacksonville, Alabama, 36265, (256) 782-5544. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Calhoun County Chapter of the American Red Cross and the New York Disaster Relief Fund.
