Workshop Covering Fundamentals of “Starting a Small Business”

The Small Business Administration in conjunction with the Jacksonville State University Small Business Development Center (SBDC), Jacksonville State Center for Economic Development, the Calhoun County Chamber of Commerce, and the Alabama Small Business Institute for Commerce are hosting a “Starting a Small Business” workshop at the Calhoun County Chamber of Commerce on June 24, 2008 from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.. The Chamber is located at 1330 Quintard Avenue in Anniston, Alabama.

The workshop is free and open to individuals who are thinking about starting a business or for existing business owners. Topics to be covered include local Business Assistance Services, Tax and Accounting Basics, SBA Guarantees and Business Loans, and Business Planning.
