Time to Register for JSU Summer Drama Camp 2008
It’s almost summertime again – time for the JSU Drama Camp!
The JSU Drama Department will be offering the camp the week of Monday, June 23 through Friday, June, 27 from 8:00 a.m. until noon each
day at the Ernest Stone Performing Arts Center Theatre. There will be puppet making, games, acting and singing, and there will
be a “final performance” on Friday.
A mid-morning snack will be provided each day, so please be sure to list any food allergies on your registration form. (If your child
has a food allergy it would be a good idea to include a list of “acceptable” snacks/brands so our counselors
won’t purchase items that may be a danger to your child). Also, if your child has any other allergies, please list them as some of
the camp activities may be held outdoors at the JSU Amphitheatre.
This year’s camp will be directed by members of the JSU Children’s Theatre Touring Troup under the direction of JSU Drama faculty member,
Eric Traynor. Space is limited to 40 for the camp—20 in a six- to nine-year-old camp and 20 in a ten- to thirteen-year-old camp.
Cost is $75.00 for the first child and $65 for each additional child in a family.
If you are interested in having your child placed on the list for the camp, please call 256-782-5623 and leave your name, the child’s name
and age, and your contact phone number at your earliest possible opportunity. Then, please fill out the registration form (attached),
and return it with your check for payment no later than June 16th. Please make checks payable to JSU.
