MCIS Hosts 2nd "Numb3rs @ JSU" Workshop

The Mathematical, Computing, and Informational Sciences (MCIS) Department is excited to announce its 2nd Annual "Numb3rs at JSU" workshop that is open to any high school counselor/teacher to attend.  In addition to learning more about the latest that the MCIS department has to offer (e.g., robotics, game and Web design, etc.), this year the workshop offers "hands-on" breakout sessions in the afternoon that provides additional training opportunities.

At present, the following sessions are scheduled to be offered: MatLab & Maple (presenters Dr. Monica Trifas & Dr. Jaedeok Kim), Math Manipulatives (presenter Rhonda Kilgo), Multimedia & Pod Casting (presenter Gaus Alam), Google’s Suite of Applications (presenter Dr. Aaron Garrett).

Although this is a free event to attend (lunch will also be provided by the MCIS department), we recommend that you e-mail your interest in attending to workshop coordinator Jerry Reaves ( jreaves@jsu.edu This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it ) ASAP as there are a limited number of places available.

The "Numb3rs at JSU" workshop will be held this year on Wednesday, June 11 from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. in Ayers Hall on the JSU campus, Room 355.  Be sure to follow the MCIS Web page and the Upcoming Events link for the latest updates.
