Chimney Peak Sunrise Running Group Forming

Come Join the Chimney Peak Sunrise Running Group!

Start your morning off with a peaceful meditation jog starting from the TMB parking lot, down Mountain Street, and up to the summit of Chimney Peak (elevation 1,716). Catch a beautiful sunrise and view of the campus. The first tenative group jog is set for Monday, May 19th.

"What in the world for?" . . . you may ask. For your health, inner peace, other people to run, jog, or walk with, and because the sun is calling you to "WAKE UP!"

The jog/run will not occur unless enough people show up to form a safe group. Nor will it occur if it is raining or the previous day's forecast calls for morning rain.

If you are interested in joining the club, please email Laurie Charnigo at charnigo@jsu.edu. The only prerequisites for membership are discipline and a cheery attitude.

Walkers are welcome as well. One doesn't have to go all the way up Chimney Peak to see the sun rise.
