New DE Training Session: Grading Student Assignments Electronically

The Office of Distance Education is pleased to announce a new training session, “Using the Technology You Already Have: Electronic Grading in Microsoft Word 2003” being offered for the first time on Wednesday, May 21, 2008 from 9:00-10:30 a.m. in 174 Self Hall.

This training gives step-by-step instruction for four options to electronically grade student assignments in Microsoft Word: track changes, reviewing toolbar, using macros to create a custom toolbar, and voice comments.

This workshop is geared towards faculty/staff who have at least an intermediate level knowledge of Microsoft Word (existing users of the software who can create, edit, format, print, save files in various formats; run spell checker; cut, copy, and paste text/images; use left and right-click mouse functionality; must possess file management skills such as creating copies of files, creating folders, moving files to and from folders in different directories, etc.).
