2008 Business Opportunities Procurement
Conference and Trade Fair

Congressman Mike Rogers (3^rd Congressional District, Alabama), Jacksonville State University's (JSU) Small Business Development Center, and the Anniston Army Depot (ANAD) are partnering to present a seminar, 2008 Business Opportunities Procurement Conference and Trade Fair, on Friday, May 16, 2008, from 8:30 a.m. - 12 noon at Stephenson Hall on the JSU campus.    The seminar provides small businesses the opportunity to increase sales by meeting with government and prime contracting purchasing personnel. 

 

Participating organizations will be displaying their products and distributing information about their company and product lines.  Dr. William A. Meehan, President, JSU; Mr. Jack Cline, Deputy to the Commander, ANAD; Mr. William Campbell, Jr., Director of the Alabama Small Business Development Consortium; and Congressman Mike Rogers will welcome exhibitors and attendees at the opening ceremony. 

 

Buyers visiting the small businesses throughout the morning include:  Anniston Army Depot and other governmental agencies, prime contractors, and local corporations.  All agencies/companies seeking vendors with the best price, quality, and delivery terms available are invited to attend and visit the exhibitors.  2008 Business Opportunities Procurement Conference and Trade Fair brings purchasing representatives and small businesses together in one place which saves time and effort in making contact with potential business partners.  

 

The Trade Fair is open to the general public and there is no charge for an exhibit space or admission.  Spaces are allotted on a first-come, first-served basis.  Training will be offered simultaneously with the Trade Fair.  Presentations will include: (1) Internal Revenue Service -Stakeholder Liaison-Education, Outreach, and More; (2) SBA Loans; and; (3) Wide Area Work Flow.
