$Calhoun County Math Tournament$ The MCIS department will host the 38th Annual Calhoun County Mathematics Tournament on April 30th. Students in grades seven through twelve will compete for individual awards and team trophies. Math faculty from area schools prepare exams for 7th grade, 8th grade, Algebra I, Algebra IA, Algebra IB, Plane Geometry, Informal Geometry, Algebra II with Trigonometry, Algebra II, and Algebra III.

This year will be the first year a written exam will be given to dual enrollment students taking Precalculus Algebra with math faculty in the MCIS department preparing the exam.

Registration is from 8:00-8:45 a.m. with written exams from 9:00-10:30 a.m. and ciphering matches from 10:45-11:45 a.m. The awards ceremony will be held in the Theron Montgomery Building from 1:15-1:45 p.m. The MCIS department awards a one-year tuition scholarship to Jacksonville State University.
