Participate in City Tree Survey
Available Online

The Jacksonville Tree Committee has developed a survey so citizens can offer opinions about caring for our urban forest. JSU students, faculty and staff are invited to participate in this tree survey--Survey on Urban Forest Preservation.

The objective of this tree survey is to obtain a tree ordinance for the city of Jacksonville, one intended to preserve the old trees and encourage the planting of new ones. This project stems from Jacksonville’s Alabama Community of Excellence (ACE) program.

From now until March 26, surveys will be available at the public library, the community center, the water department and other businesses in Jacksonville. It will also be available on the ACE website at www.jacksonvilleace.com/tree_survey.htm.

For more information about this project, see the Jacksonville News article "Survey on Urban Forest Preservation ACE Committee Branches Out."
