CPS to Host Business & Education Career Expo

Jacksonville State University's Career Placement Services will host its 2008 Business and Education Career ExpoMaking Connections: My Career, Your Opportunity in the Gamecock Center of Stephenson Hall on March 6, 2008 from 8:30 a.m. to Noon.  A variety of employers and recruiters will be on campus, all looking to fill vacant positions as well as share information about their organizations.

Please check the Career Placement Services website www.cps.jsu.edu for more information and the list of companies that will be attending this year's Career Expo. Sixty-two companies are scheduled to be on JSU’s campus this year participating in this event.

The Business and Education Career Expo is a major part of the My Career, My Success, My JSU package sponsored and promoted by the Career Placement Services Office to assist students in their job search and career choices.  Representatives from local, regional, and national businesses, government agencies, and school systems inform students about employment and educational opportunities, providing career information about current full-time, internship and co-op opportunities, and graduate/professional school information.

Business professional dress is required. Please have copies of you resume to distribute, and spend time before the event doing your homework on employers of interest to you. Lastly, have questions also developed before the event to ask representatives while they are visiting. The intent of this event is to facilitate interaction between students and employers related to internship and career position recruiting.

If you have additional questions, please call the CPS office at 782-5482 or send e-mail to Tawana Roberts.
