Jacksonville Opera Theatre Hosts Concert:
"Valentine's Day Treat" for Opera Fans

Jacksonville Opera Theatre (JOT) is offering a Valentine's Day treat for opera fans.

JOT will host Amber L. Wagner in concert at 7:30 p.m. Thursday in the Performance Center of Mason Hall on the campus of Jacksonville State University.

Wagner is a Grand Finals Winner of the 2007 Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions. Recently accepted into the prestigious Young Artist Program at Lyric Opera of Chicago, Wagner made her Lyric Opera debut in "Die Frau ohne Schatten" in November. Her recent performances include the Countess Almaviva in "Le Nozze di Figaro" as well as the title roles in both "Turandot" and "Vanessa."

Wagner had the opportunity recently to share the stage with world-renowned baritone Richard Paul Fink in a gala concert in Phoenix.

Tickets are $15 for adults and $25 for reserved seating. Students tickets are $10. All tickets may be purchased online or by calling 782-5876.
