The opening instrumental solo of FIDDLER ON THE ROOF, instantly recognizable to theatre audiences around the world, kicks off a musical experience unlike any other. The curtain opens on Anatevka, a small Russian Jewish village where tradition has ruled life for as long as anyone can remember. But Tevye, a man of sincerity, humor and imagination, is suddenly forced to choose between the happiness of his family and the traditions he loves and respects. At times comic and tragic, the story is by all accounts a heartwarming tale of hope in difficult times. You'll find yourself humming along to favorites like "If I Were a Rich Man," "Sunrise, Sunrise," and "Matchmaker."

All performances are held on the mainstage of Ernest Stone Performing Arts Center, Corner of Church Avenue and Eleventh Street, on the campus of Jacksonville State University.
