Kaleidoscope Featured Event:
Foothills Piano Festival
February 7-10, 2008

The Foothills Piano Festival, an offering of both the Kaleidoscope Festival of the Arts and the David L. Walters Department of Music, will bring an exciting line-up of performers to the campus of JSU.
  • On Thursday, February 7th at 7:30 p.m., Gary Motley, Director of Jazz Studies at Emory University in Atlanta, will offer a jazz recital and presentation.

  • On Friday, February 8th at 7:30 p.m., Kevin T. Chance, Piano Instructor at the Alabama School of Fine Arts, will give a piano recital of works by Beethoven, Chopin and Debussy.

  • The Manhattan Piano Trio, featuring pianist Milana Strezeva, violinist Dmitry Lukin, and cellist Dmitry Kouzov will perform Saturday night, February 9th at 7:30 p.m.

  • The closing concert on Sunday at 3:00 pm, February 10th, will showcase JSU's own Dr. W. Legare McIntosh and Dr. Gail Steward performing works for two pianos.
All concerts are free and open to the public, and are held in the Mason Hall Performance Center.
