JSU's Spirit Appearing in Atlanta Brass Classic

Hundreds of family, friends, and fans braved the grueling Alabama heat Sunday afternoon, June 10, to give Spirit a true Southern going away party as the corps previewed their 2007 program GENESIS before one of the largest preview audiences in recent years.

Spirit departed on their coast to coast summer tour on Tuesday evening, June 12.  Spirit opened the drum corps season on Saturday evening June 16 at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium in Annapolis, MD as part of DCI Salutes America.

The first southern swing of the Spirit 2007 National Tour will bring the corps through metro Atlanta and back through Alabama for the Atlanta Brass Classic and the Alabama Battle of the Brass:

A month and many miles later, the corps will return to the south for the DCI Regional at the Georgia Dome on Saturday, July 14 (check back for volunteer/pass opportunities later!) and will go straight from the ATL to JSU on Sunday, July 15 for the Spirit of America, and does that show ever look like a blockbuster—and (ahem) Paul Snow Stadium is *outside* for your listening pleasure!
