WISE Presents Clothesline Project

WISE (Women's Issues Support and Empowerment) is sponsoring The Clothesline Project (CLP) on April 12, 2007 from noon to 6 p.m. on TMB lawn. The CLP is a program started in 1990 to address the issue of violence against women. It is a vehicle for women affected by violence to express their emotions by decorating a shirt. They then hang the shirt on a clothesline to be viewed by others as testimony to the problem of violence against women.

There will be speakers, music, refreshments and support for those interested in attending this event and for stopping violence against women.

For more information contact Tina Deshotels at ext. 5350 or send e-mail to Dr. Deshotels is the faculty advisor of WISE.
