Marching Southerners Enter Partnership
with Pearl Percussion Corporation

With endorsement from Pearl Percussion Corporation, the Marching Southerners Drumline will be using Pearl drums from Percussion Corporation exclusively for 2007 and beyond.

Marching Southerners receive endorsement!

The Marching Southerners from Jacksonville State University recently entered into a brand new partnership with the Pearl Corporation. Due to the consistent high performance quality of the Marching Southerners, the amazingly talented drumline and the fact that JSU is the only university in the country that has a DCI World Finalist Drum and Bugle Corps—the Pearl Percussion Corporation has offered an endorsement to both the Marching Southerners and the JSU Spirit Drum and Bugle Corps. For 2007 and beyond, the Marching Southerners will be playing Pearl Drums and Adams Keyboard Instruments exclusively.

Clint Gillespie, Assistant Director of Bands, says: "We are excited about our new relationship with Pearl/Adams. This new sponsorship will save Jacksonville State University THOUSANDS of dollars, he exclaims.

The JSU Drumline is a past winner of the Percussive Arts Society International Marching Percussion Competition and continues to be a leader in the Marching Activity.
