CAST Theatre Presents The Odd Couple with a Twist

Neil Simon's dysfunctional duo, The Odd Couple, is back in the fourth production of Community Actors' Studio Theatre's 2006-07 season, but this time there's something distinctly different about them. They're women!

CAST presents The Odd Couple, the female version, March 22-25 and March 29 – April 1 at the JSU/McClellan Theatre - 100 Gamecock Drive, Anniston. In this version, updated by Simon himself, slob Oscar and neatnik Felix become Olive and Florence, and the men’s poker game, a ladies' match of Trivial Pursuit. The Pigeon sisters of Simon’s original Broadway hit have also undergone a bit of a change – now they are the hilarious Constanzuela brothers. Of course, the would-be roommates are just as hilariously at odds as ever! So come, join the fun of Neil Simon humor with a feminine touch.

CAST’s production of the comedy stars Debby Mathews and Pati Tiller, along with Susan Sulivan, Kathy Ewing, Tracey Phillips, Lori Steele, Mike Stedham and Tim Barton. CAST Artistic Director and General Manager Kimberley Dobbs is the director.

The curtain rises at 8:00 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday, March 22 - 24 and March 29 - 31 and at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 25 and April 1. Tickets are $15.00 for adults and $8.00 for students with discounts available for groups of 12 or more. Admission to all Thursday night performances at CAST is "Pay-What-You-Can." For reservations, or more information, please call (256)820-CAST.
