Senior Visitation Day
Focuses on Teaching Orientation
The Department of Secondary Education and the College of Education and Professional Studies are hosting a Senior Visitation Day on Monday, March 5, 2007, from 11:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. Over 200 high school seniors from 17 surrounding area schools interested in becoming teachers have registered to attend.

The students will be given an overview of the teacher certification programs offered in the College of Education and Professional Studies at JSU with recruitment emphasis placed on areas identified as shortages in the State of Alabama, such as Secondary Mathematics, Secondary Sciences, and Special Education. Students will meet at the Gamecock Center and be introduced to a faculty mentor that is a specialist in their area of certification interest.
