Emerging Artists Semplice Duo
to Perform Flute and Piano Concert

Jacksonville State University’s David L. Walters Department of Music welcomes the acclaimed Semplice Duo to perform Friday, March 2nd at 7:00 p.m. on campus at the Mason Hall Performance Center. the pair was described by the Rocky Mountain News as “delightful young performers” whose “music making was effortless and sparkling.”

Winners of the "Notes at 9000" 2004 Emerging Artist Series competition, the Semplice Duo was formed in 2000 with the goal of exposing a wide variety of audiences to less frequently performed chamber music for flute and piano. The Semplice Duo has performed recitals and educational outreach concerts throughout the United States. In May 2005, the duo appeared as artist fellows at the Hampden-Sydney Chamber Music Festival in Hampden-Sydney, Virginia. Recent performances include the Colorado Music Festival Young Artist Series and the Winter Park Chamber Series as well as guest artist appearances at the Alabama School of the Fine Arts in Birmingham, Alabama, Louisiana State University, Southeastern Louisiana University and the Hochstein School of Music in Rochester, New York.
