NSCA Approves HPER's Strength
and Conditioning Program

Jacksonville State University Department of Health, Physical Education, and Recreation has been approved by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) as a recognized educational program in “Strength and Conditioning.” After completing the program, the student will be prepared to sit for the Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) exam.

The NSCA “ERP Strength and Conditioning Program” recognizes colleges and universities that offer a bachelor's degree with an emphasis in strength training and conditioning. Jacksonville State University joins four other institutions in the state of Alabama approved to offer this program: the University of Alabama, Birmingham; the University of South Alabama, Troy University, and the United States Sports Academy.
