JSU Diamond Girls Win 2007 All-Star Southern Regional Collegiate Dance Team Championship
The Diamond Girls, a competitive Dance Team at Jacksonville State University and one of the newest extensions of the JSU Marching Southerners, won the 2007 American All-Star Southern Regional Collegiate Dance Team Championship in New Orleans, Louisiana.

The competition was held at the Alario Center in Westwego, Louisiana right outside of New Orleans on Saturday, January 27, 2007. The Diamond Girls won 1st Place Jazz and Best Technique, 1st Place High Kick, and also won the Overall Highest Score--making them the American All-Star Regional Collegiate Dance Team Champions.

Jessica Andrews is the new American All Star Southern Regional College Solo Champion. The Diamond Girls consist of ten JSU Marching Ballerinas who are as follows: Jessica Andrews Captain/Choreographer, Courtney Birmingham, Katie Catrett, Ramona Summerville, Jessica O'Rear, Rachel Glass, Ashley Vanderburg, Amanda Camp, Megan Wright and Andrea Messick. Ms. Joy Andrews is the event coordinator.
