JSU's Spirit Makes Cover Page for National Magazine
Spirit Drum and Bugle Corps from Jacksonville State University was chosen as the cover for The Magazine of Marching Music's Major League. The magazine also ran a feature story on JSU's Director of Bands, Ken Bodiford.

The publishers of the magazine were impressed with the fact that JSU is the only university in the nation that has its own Drum and Bugle Corps. Bodiford explains in the article that the relationship with the corps has not only benefited the band department at JSU, but has helped the entire music department flourish from the constant national exposure that the corps brings to the department as well as to the university.
