Dr. Francia in AP Computer Science Reading

Dr. Guillermo A. Francia, III, professor of computer science, was selected to participate in the annual reading and scoring of the College Board’s AP Computer Science Examinations this June in Clemson.

This year, the AP program in Computer Science (APCS) had more than 20,000 exams in both the A and AB levels. These exams were evaluated by approximately 150 readers from the United States, Canada, and abroad. Dr. Francia authored some of the examination questions this year and was the only educator selected from the state of Alabama for the APCS reading.

In April, Dr. Francia was selected as one of the five national raters that participated in the College Board Advance Placement Pilot Syllabus Audit Study conducted by the Center for Educational Policy Research at the University of Oregon.
